Faith, Family, Friends and Farming—the cornerstones of Tietz Family Farms.
Since the beginning, our family has always grown large gardens to sustain ourselves and for decades, we have shared our excess with our friends and neighbors. For over 30 years, we have continually expanded both the quantity and selection of the products we grow and produce.
NOURISHING FARE TENDED WITH CARE
Today, we grow over 20 acres of seasonal fresh produce. Our extensive vegetable gardens are hand planted, hand weeded, hoed, and hand harvested. We utilize sustainable agricultural practices to keep our soil nutrient rich, productive, and fertile for our future generations. Regenerative agricultural practices employed include no-till planting for conserving fertile topsoil, crop rotation to replace nutrients and prevent plant diseases and pests. We also plant cover crops and utilize hay, straw and compost for fertilization, soil enrichment and weed control. We offer a vast selection of fresh picked seasonal produce throughout the growing season: Rhubarb, spinach, lettuce, onions, cabbage, broccoli, potatoes, cucumbers, dill, tomatoes, sweet corn, beets, kohlrabi, snap peas, beans, strawberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, winter squash, pumpkins and popcorn.
Bushel quantities for the at home canner are available in season for cucumbers, tomatoes, beets and sweet corn.
